Value of Turkey Imports (2010-2019)
According to Turkey import statistics and bill of landing data, the country recorded an increase in value of total imports in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, the figures declined, which again rose in 2013. After which, value of import shipments declined for three consecutive years. With a rise in 2017, the import value of total commodities fell in 2018 and 2019. Turkey’s top 10 import commodities in 2019 were Mineral Fuels & Oils (USD 43 billion), Machinery (USD 25.7 billion), Electrical & Electronics (USD 18.4 billion), Iron & Steel (USD 16.5 billion), Pearls & Precious Stones (USD 13.8 billion), Plastics (USD 12.9 billion), Vehicles (USD 12.5 billion), Organic Chemicals (USD 5.9 billion), Pharma (USD 4.6 billion) and Optical Equipment (USD 4.3 billion) as per Turkey import data.

Turkey’s Top 10 Import Partners
Turkey customs import data shows that the country’s top 10 import partners in 2019 were Russia (USD 22.3 billion), China (USD 18.3 billion), Germany (USD 17.9 billion), United States (USD 11.0 billion), Italy (USD 8.6 billion), India (USD 6.5 billion), France (USD 6.3 billion), South Korea (USD 5.6 billion), United Kingdom (USD 5.4 billion) and United Arab Emirates (USD 4.3 billion).
